What 6 × 2 cm Is Used For

Getting a Sharp Result

Sign in dark ink on plain white paper and photograph it straight on, in good light. Fit keeps your whole signature inside the box with a white border, so nothing is cut off. Many forms also want 10–20 KB: pick a size under File Size. Exam-specific sizes are in the Exam photo and signature resizer.

How It Works

  1. Choose or drop a photo.
  2. Type the width and height in px, inches, cm or mm, and choose Fill, Fit or Stretch. To use only part of the photo, choose Crop Photo first.
  3. Pick a file size such as 100 KB or type your own limit, then download.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many pixels is 6 × 2 cm?

709 × 236 pixels at 300 DPI, or 472 × 157 pixels at 200 DPI. Change the DPI box if your form gives one.

Why Fit instead of Fill?

A signature is long and thin. Fit keeps every stroke inside the box; Fill would cut the ends off if your photo has a different shape.

What DPI should I use?

300 DPI is the usual print resolution and is what most photo requirements mean when they give a size in centimetres or inches. The DPI value is also saved inside JPG and PNG files.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. It works in modern mobile browsers, and iPhone HEIC photos open directly.

How do I get an exact file size like 20 KB or 50 KB?

Pick the size, or type your own limit. The tool finds the highest quality that fits. If the photo is still too big at the lowest quality, it can reduce the dimensions for you.
