Twitch Emote Sizes
- Emote: 112 × 112 px, PNG with a transparent background, under 1 MB. Twitch makes the 56 and 28 px sizes for you, or you can upload all three.
- Subscriber badge: 72 × 72 px (also 36 and 18 px), PNG, under 25 KB
- Profile banner: 1200 × 480 px. Keep important parts on the left.
- Panel: no wider than 320 px
Emotes are seen very small in chat, so use bold shapes and few details. Keep the background transparent: upload a PNG, or remove it first with the Background Remover.
Platforms change their sizes from time to time. Check the platform’s own help pages before you post.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to upload three emote sizes?
No. Upload one 112 × 112 px image and Twitch makes the 56 and 28 px versions. You can upload all three yourself if you prefer.
What DPI should I use?
300 DPI is the usual print resolution and is what most photo requirements mean when they give a size in centimetres or inches. The DPI value is also saved inside JPG and PNG files.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. It works in modern mobile browsers, and iPhone HEIC photos open directly.
