Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the same photo as my Canadian Passport?
Only if it meets these rules too. IRCC applications need a plain white background and their own pixel range.
What background does a passport photo need?
Most countries ask for plain white or light grey. Check the rules for your country: some, such as Canada and the UK, don’t accept edited photos.
My application has a file size limit. What do I do?
Set it under File size. Online application cards already have the official limit, and the tool keeps the file inside it.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. It works in modern mobile browsers, and iPhone HEIC photos open directly.
