Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a photo for a passport in India?
Usually not. Passport Seva Kendras take your photo at the appointment. Printed or uploaded photos are for applications from abroad.
What background does a passport photo need?
Most countries ask for plain white or light grey. Check the rules for your country: some, such as Canada and the UK, don’t accept edited photos.
My application has a file size limit. What do I do?
Set it under File Size. Online application cards already have the file size limit, and the tool keeps the file inside it.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. It works in modern mobile browsers, and iPhone HEIC photos open directly.
